Darun gelo din ta! (18th April Sunday 2010)!

Han Mosai! Yes Sir! I am talking about the day long outing we BIH members had on that day

The day started with a li'l bit of delayed bus journey, starting from Hitec City and to the destination - Celebrity Resorts, Shameerpet, Hyderabad. As it  was my first occasion to meet the BIH-ians, I was more excited and enthusiastic!!! The event was very well planned, organized and executed to perfection by people like Rahul and others (I don't know much, please pardon me here). He had sms-ed all about the route and the bus-stops POCs. So I had to had my share of disturbing the POCs of areas adjacent to where I stay - Madhapur.

And when we started, it was fun! I met with 32 amazing bengalis! The bus was hot and whenever we stopped in between, we took either coconut water or sugarcane juice!

The entry was sweet-mouthed for many including me, as the security didn't allow the sweet box that Mama (codename!) had brought!

As we entered the resort's hall, we quenched our thirst with glassful of cold water and juices! Then started a round of photography! Yes! There was quite a big list of photographers amongst those 33 co-journeyers! I tried capturing some of those talented people with their cameras and their subjects of photography!

And then we got mutually divided between various indoor games and the sun was quite angry and hot! Table tennis, Badminton, Snookers, Carrom,...

There was a small bunch of people who sweat-ed in sun, playing the unofficial national game of India - Cricket!

Me and few others had already recorded the pitch report and posed as winner

When I returned to the hall, I saw teams - winners and runners up asking for photographs! And as I already said, photographers were in plenty!

After a round of hungry fellowmen, fighting out at the dumb-charades with names of Bengali, Hindi, English, Bhojpuri movies...

Then came the real bonanza! The Lunch!
Bengali Dishes comprising of Rui Macher Kalia (Fish Curry), Kosha Mansho (Mutton), Potato Fry, Aalu Potol Rosa (Potato and Pointed gourd spicy curry), Bhaja Mugher Dal, Sweet Tomato Chutney, Sweet curd (Misti Doi), Ice-creams and last but not the least - The Rasogollas!

Post lunch, everybody wanted to get cooled down and the best option was to get into the moderately cool swimming pool waters! Undecided, I too went into the pool - my first time... And drank some amount of chlorinated water before realizing that I could actually stand!

The people dived and jumped, swam and shouted, as the "find the coin" play continued in water

We were long into the pool, as I saw experienced swimmers diving flat, side by and long jumping into the waters!

Post the water event, we went back to the AC hall Sangam, and had a round of tea/coffe and snacks (singaras/samosas). Me and some of us went to quench our thirst! There saw some ladies who got charged for five glasses (Rs 200) for one bottle of Real Tetrapack Fruit Juice!

The evenings last event was another animated round of dumb-charades, post which we all gathered - sat, stood, lied  down - to get group photographed!

Further then, we all shouted, sang and danced our way back in the bus...

It was a fully packed day with fun, masti and anondo! Just wish that this comes often and gives us all, chances to wash away the depression and fatigue that modern day job brings with it!!!
